THE ANYTHING ISSUE
So I have to admit I have been terribly negligent in updating this site, to all those who are watching I apologize. Regardless, the due date for our next issue is roaring up to us. However it is also spring break and I know that some of us are running off to foreign lands, or ant least to foreign drinks. Thus for the first time ever! EVER! The deadline will be pushed back by popular demand.
THE NEW DEADLINE FOR THE FRY ISSUE IS MARCH 22nd.
THE ANYTHING ISSUE
Yes this really means that you may submit anything, anything at all.
As in the past you can email me at fatouzocat@yahoo.ca (re:hotdonut) with your pages, just remember to also send me the 10$ so that I can send the issue to YOU!
Looking forward to your thoughts and insights of images and words.

The Anything and Everything Issue
The deadline is coming soon and it feels like we just put out our last issue. I think it was the aftermath of the cr-art show and the holiday season. I have to say the art show went well. We raised about $100 for the local food bank and lots of people visited the show over the three days. It was fantastic seeing the support and being out in the country. I hope to get someone to post some pics here.
So what is the anything or everthing issue? I'm not sure.
I'm a girl who likes a theme. I may not always be exactly on theme but I like a theme to get the brainstorm going as it were... And to keep me from spinning out of control with ideas.
Our non-theme issue may be more international in flavour as one of the donuts is now living in Japan. We had our first international entry - from Texas - in the Pets Issue. (Still available if you haven't got your copy.) So maybe I'll create a few pages with a global theme.
Or maybe my page will be about food. I've been thinking a lot about food.
Or maybe my page will be about size. Small donut vs giant donut.
Or it could be about rocket ships, or ballerinas, or robots made out of cake batter, clouds shaped like human body parts, lava lamps, barbarella, stripes, cork, cd crafting, waffle cotton, rocks that look like poodles, fire, mysterious logs, chain mail, the joys of shelf lining, tea towel collecting, rain that is multi-colored, judy heads, bicycle helmuts, leopard skin, drum circles...
Sometimes a theme is a good thing.

Pest.. er um.. Pets!
Philadelphia, the Contemporary Cat
I regulalry enjoy driving my thirteen year old diva cat nuts by taking photos of her when she is trying to sleep. I'm a lousy owner. One of the odd things my digital camera does when taking a second picture before the first has completely uploaded is create these weird photos which I kind of love. It has to be accidental though. If I try to do it on purpose than it never looks as cool.
But this is a reminder that if you haven't started working on your pages for the upcoming PETS Issue than get yer bum in gear! You only have 14 days!
Now will Philadelphia be in the pets issue? Probably, she has been creating various art pieces around my house lately: hairballs on my duvet, shredding my sketchbook into smithereens and creating giant murals of shed hair throughout my house. I think it's a sign she wants to publish and exhibit her work.
Does that mean that your pets page has to be about my cat? No. It doesn't even have to be about your cat. It could be a mythical pet, about a boyfriend who is more of a pet, about inanimate objects you have a pet like relatioship with or any of number of permutations...
As usual we are leaving the whole thing really, really, really open. Why? Because you constantly amaze us with what you think up! So get creating, drawing, writing.... Or my cat will come shed on you.
